Triton High School is seeking an energetic and dedicated Freshman Boys Basketball Coach to lead and develop our freshman basketball team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching fundamental basketball skills, fostering sportsmanship and teamwork, and preparing student-athletes for competition at the junior varsity and varsity levels.
This position plays a key role in supporting the mission and values of Triton High School athletics by emphasizing academic achievement, character development, and athletic excellence.
Plan, organize, and conduct effective practices focused on skill development, teamwork, and understanding of the game.
Instruct and mentor student-athletes in the rules, strategies, and techniques of basketball.
Develop and maintain a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, responsibility, and effort.
Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, and school staff regarding schedules, expectations, and team matters.
Collaborate with the Head Varsity Coach to ensure consistency and alignment within the basketball program.
Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and travel to ensure safety and appropriate conduct.
Manage equipment and uniforms, ensuring proper care and accountability.
Adhere to all school, conference, and state athletic association rules and regulations.
Promote academic success and personal growth among all players.
