Role and Responsibilities:

As a Special Education Instructor, you will create and deliver personalized instruction that promotes both academic success and social-emotional development. You will play a key role in building a structured and engaging classroom while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to support each student’s progress.

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on each student’s unique needs
Plan and deliver lessons using a variety of instructional strategies to keep students engaged
Maintain a structured classroom environment that promotes safety, consistency, and positive behavior
Monitor student performance and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
Guide and support classroom staff to ensure consistent execution of student learning plans

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree along with a valid Pennsylvania Special Education teaching certification
At least three months of experience working with individuals with disabilities
Understanding of child development, differentiated instruction, and behavior management techniques
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead effectively and collaborate within a team-based environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting students with autism or emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges
Knowledge of therapeutic integration practices within educational settings
Additional training or certifications related to behavior support or social-emotional learning
