Role and Responsibilities:

As a Support Teacher, you will assist lead educators in delivering engaging classroom instruction and maintaining a positive learning environment. You will play a key role in supporting student development, classroom management, and daily educational activities while ensuring a safe and structured space for children to thrive.

Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities
Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and engagement
Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, outdoor play, and transitions
Help prepare instructional materials and organize classroom resources
Observe and report student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere for all learners

Required Skills and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in early childhood education preferred
Experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow lesson plans and support instructional goals
Basic understanding of child development principles
Patience, empathy, and a positive, child-focused attitude
Ability to maintain safety and supervision standards at all times

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
Early childhood teaching certification or CDA (Child Development Associate) credential
Prior experience in preschool, daycare, or elementary education settings
Familiarity with classroom management strategies and early learning frameworks
