Role and Responsibilities:

As an After School Teacher at Primrose Schools, you will nurture and guide children ages 5 to 12 in our after-school program. You will plan and implement engaging activities that foster leadership, teamwork, and character development, providing a safe, structured, and enriching environment where children can explore their interests and build critical life skills.

• Plan and facilitate engaging after-school activities, including arts and crafts, team-building exercises, and educational projects that encourage curiosity and character development.
• Provide a safe, positive, and structured environment where children feel comfortable to explore and learn.
• Foster positive relationships with students to support social and emotional growth, including communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and leadership qualities.
• Collaborate with other teachers and school leadership to maintain a seamless and supportive after-school program.
• Assist children with homework and engage them in academic activities to enhance learning experiences.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in early childhood education or a related field preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, parents, and team members.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to a dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in early childhood education, daycare, or after-school care settings.
• Experience working with elementary-aged children (ages 5 to 12).
• Knowledge of basic classroom management strategies and behavior guidance techniques.
• Enthusiasm for working with children in a creative and structured learning environment.
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
