Child Care Associate Teacher

Role and Responsibilities:

The Child Care Associate Teacher supports the delivery of high-quality early childhood education by assisting in the creation of a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. This role works collaboratively with teaching staff to promote children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development while fostering positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

• Assist in planning and facilitating engaging, hands-on learning activities that support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Provide attentive supervision and care to ensure a positive and enriching classroom experience.
• Encourage age-appropriate exploration, creativity, and skill-building through daily interactions and activities.
• Maintain open and professional communication with families, sharing updates on children's progress and daily experiences.
• Promote a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment by following established health, safety, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff members to support curriculum implementation and classroom management.
• Contribute to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment that supports the unique needs of every child.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work effectively with young children in a structured educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with team members, families, and administrators.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
• Must meet all applicable background screening and employment requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in child care, daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or coursework in early childhood education.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Knowledge of child development principles and developmentally appropriate teaching practices.
