Pre-K Assistant Teacher

In the Pre-K Assistant Teacher position, you will help foster a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment while working alongside lead educators to provide meaningful learning experiences that encourage lifelong learning in young children.

Role and Responsibilities:

In this role, you will assist with classroom instruction and daily routines to support a structured, positive, and developmentally appropriate setting. You will partner with lead teachers to implement lesson plans, guide activities, and ensure children are supported in a safe and interactive learning environment.

• Help carry out age-appropriate lesson plans and early childhood learning activities
• Assist lead teachers in delivering engaging, hands-on educational sessions
• Arrange and maintain classroom materials, supplies, and activity areas
• Oversee children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and care
• Track and document children’s behavior, development, and learning milestones
• Keep the classroom clean, organized, and safe at all times
• Encourage positive behavior and support social and emotional development
• Communicate clearly with teachers and staff to ensure smooth daily classroom operations

Required Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma required
• Experience working in a licensed childcare, preschool, or early education environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, team-oriented classroom
• Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude toward young children
• Ability to ensure child safety and follow established classroom routines
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in early childhood education or childcare-related positions
• Background in customer service, healthcare, or child-focused settings
• Familiarity with early childhood development concepts
• Interest in ongoing professional development in education and childcare

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly compensation range: USD $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
