Role and Responsibilities:
As a Specialized PreK Lead Teacher, you will lead and manage a classroom of preschool children, implementing engaging curricula designed to support developmental milestones. You will inspire and guide young learners while maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans that meet the educational and developmental needs of each child.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that promotes social-emotional growth and collaboration.
- Observe and document children’s progress, providing feedback to families and collaborating with staff to support learning goals.
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring adherence to KinderCare policies and early learning standards.
- Model effective teaching strategies and maintain open communication with families and team members.
- Manage classroom resources and maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning environment.
- Support the professional development of teaching assistants and staff through coaching and mentorship.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Experience teaching preschool-aged children in a classroom setting.
- Knowledge of child development principles and early learning best practices.
- Ability to create and execute developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
- Strong classroom management and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with children, families, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with classroom technology and educational software is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience working with children with diverse learning needs or special education backgrounds.
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, or other child safety programs.
