Role and Responsibilities:

As an School Tutor and Mentor, you will guide students to strengthen their academic performance while fostering personal growth. You will provide classroom support, individualized tutoring, and mentorship to help students succeed in measurable ways.

Deliver one-on-one and small group tutoring in core subjects such as reading, math, and science.
Model positive behavior and demonstrate social-emotional skills to students.
Build trusting relationships to encourage academic and personal development.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to identify student needs and track progress.
Design and implement strategies to enhance student engagement and achievement.
Monitor and analyze student data to inform instructional planning.

Required Skills and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience working with youth in educational or mentorship programs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students effectively.
Strong organizational and instructional planning abilities.
Commitment to fostering student growth and advancing educational equity.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior tutoring or mentoring experience in academic settings.
Understanding of strategies for supporting diverse learning needs and social-emotional growth.
Experience using data-driven methods to monitor student progress.
