STEM Enrichment Teacher

Role and Responsibilities:

As a STEM Enrichment Teacher, you will design and implement engaging STEM-focused activities that promote exploration, discovery, and hands-on learning. You will inspire curiosity, model scientific thinking, and encourage problem-solving skills among young learners.

• Develop and lead age-appropriate STEM lessons and enrichment activities.
• Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration and experimentation.
• Assess student progress and adapt activities to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate STEM concepts across the curriculum.
• Maintain classroom safety and ensure adherence to KinderCare’s educational standards.
• Engage families by providing updates on STEM activities and learning outcomes.
• Foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in all students.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience designing and implementing STEM or science-based activities for young children.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
• Proficient in educational technology tools and age-appropriate STEM resources.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Knowledge of child development principles and early learning standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching certification or license in Early Childhood Education or STEM-related subjects.
• Experience with project-based learning and inquiry-based instruction methods.
• Familiarity with coding, robotics, or other hands-on STEM tools for early learners.
