Role and Responsibilities:

As a PreK Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in preschool-aged children. You will create a structured yet playful classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and confidence.

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that supports learning and exploration.
• Observe, assess, and document children’s progress and developmental milestones.
• Encourage social skills development through group activities, play-based learning, and guided interaction.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, behavior, and learning goals.
• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with co-teachers and center staff to support curriculum planning and classroom activities.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with preschool or PreK-aged children in a classroom or childcare setting.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
• Strong communication skills with children, families, and team members.
• Ability to plan and execute engaging, play-based learning activities.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques in early learning environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or equivalent certification.
• Experience in a structured preschool or early learning center environment.
• Understanding of school readiness frameworks and PreK curriculum standards.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and learning assessments.
