We are currently seeking a Travel School Psychologist to support our partner schools across the country. This role is ideal for those passionate about providing psychological services to students in diverse settings, with the added opportunity to explore new locations while making a positive impact on students' academic and emotional well-being.

Role and Responsibilities

The Travel School Psychologist will travel to various school districts, providing psychological assessments and support services to students in need. As a critical member of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team, you will help ensure that students receive the academic and behavioral support they need to thrive. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting assessments, providing counseling, and consulting with school staff, parents, and other professionals to develop strategies for student success. Travel is required, and all lodging and transportation expenses are covered.

• Administer diagnostic and curriculum-based assessments to evaluate students' academic performance, emotional well-being, and social behaviors.
• Provide consultative services to school staff, parents, and students regarding emotional, behavioral, and academic concerns.
• Offer recommendations for specialized services based on diagnostic results.
• Collaborate with IEP teams to develop and implement individualized education plans that address the unique needs of students with disabilities.
• Observe students in academic and social settings to gain insight into their functioning and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Offer individual and group counseling to students addressing issues such as anxiety, social skills, and coping strategies.
• Promote a positive school climate and contribute to the overall well-being of students.
• Provide guidance to teachers, administrators, and parents on how to best support students' emotional and academic development.
• Lead workshops or training sessions as needed.
• Be prepared to intervene in crisis situations, offering support to students, parents, and staff during times of emotional distress.

Required Skills and Experience

• Must hold a Doctorate or Master’s degree in School Psychology.
• ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification is required or the ability to obtain certification in the applicable state.
• Previous experience working as a school psychologist, preferably in K-12 settings.
• Experience in administering psychological assessments and providing consultative services is required.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, including IEP development and implementation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to different school environments and work independently.
• Compassionate, empathetic, and committed to promoting student success.
• Must be willing to travel to different locations nationwide for varying lengths of assignments (typically 4-8 weeks per assignment). AHS Staffing covers all travel, lodging, and meal expenses.
