Substitute Experienced Infant/Toddler Teacher

Newburyport Public Schools has openings for substitute school year Infant/Toddler Teacher.This substitute will work as part of a team with already established teachers to:

Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons for infants/toddlers based on developmental expertise.

Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow

Provide daycare services, including supervision, feeding, and diaper changing

Monitor the well-being and welfare of each child in the classroom

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education is preferred
  
  Previous experience working with infants/Toddlers is required
  
  Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
  
  Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
  
  Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with young children
  
  Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  
  CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  
  EEC Infant/Toddler certification
  
  Ability to pass a background check
• At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required
