Lead Toddler Teacher

The organization values supportive work environments, career development, and continuous learning for its teaching teams.The Lead Toddler Teacher role plays a key part in delivering age-appropriate early childhood education, fostering cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in toddlers while creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment aligned with Endeavor Schools’ mission.

Role and Responsibilities:

You will lead classroom learning experiences and guide toddlers through structured and play-based activities that support early development milestones.

• Develop and implement age-appropriate toddler curriculum and lesson plans
• Lead engaging learning activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth
• Ensure the safety, well-being, and supervision of all children at all times
• Monitor, assess, and document children’s developmental progress
• Create a positive, harmonious classroom environment for children and teaching staff
• Support children in building early learning, communication, and social skills
• Collaborate with fellow educators to maintain consistent classroom quality and care standards

Required Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Maryland MSDE Preschool 90 Hours Certification required
• Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, or at least 30 college credits in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Strong understanding of early childhood development stages (social, emotional, intellectual, and physical)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work during operational hours Monday–Friday, 7 AM – 6 PM (schedule based on business needs)
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in early childhood education
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, squatting, walking, running, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in early childhood education or childcare settings
• Experience in roles involving customer service, healthcare, retail, or related people-focused environments
• Additional training or coursework in early childhood education or child development

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive pay: USD $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
