Copilot Careers is currently hiring Teaching Assistant for immediate placement in various school districts. In this position, you will assist classroom teachers and help maintain an effective learning environment so students continue receiving academic support throughout the day.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will help uphold a structured and supportive classroom atmosphere when regular staff members are not present. Your role includes assisting with daily instructional activities, routine tasks, and student engagement to ensure lessons continue without interruption.

• Help maintain classroom order by keeping students on task, reinforcing expectations, and monitoring assignment completion.
• Provide academic assistance, answer student questions, and offer clarification on classroom work.
• Encourage positive behavior and help sustain a safe, respectful learning space.
• Follow teacher plans and support instructional activities as directed.
• Supervise students during non-classroom times such as lunch, recess, hallways, or school events.
• Organize supplies, prepare instructional materials, and assist with general classroom needs.
• Support students with special needs under teacher or administrative guidance.
• Communicate any concerns, incidents, illness, or injuries to designated school staff.
• Perform additional duties as requested to ensure smooth school operations.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with children or within a school environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to reinforce classroom behavior expectations and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Patience, flexibility, and comfort working with diverse student populations.
• General understanding of classroom routines with the ability to assist with instruction.
• Compassion and dedication to helping students grow academically and socially.
• Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
• Successful background check and criminal history clearance required.
