K12 Academic Coach

Role and Responsibilities:

In your role as an K12 Academic Coach, you will be primarily responsible for improving students' academic performance while helping them develop personally. This position involves providing classroom support, individualized tutoring, and mentorship, all aimed at achieving meaningful academic outcomes for students.

• Provide individualized and small group tutoring in essential academic subjects such as math, reading, and science.
• Model positive behaviors and demonstrate key social-emotional skills to foster student growth.
• Build trust-based relationships with students to support both their academic and personal development.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to identify student needs, track progress, and implement strategies for improvement.
• Develop and execute strategies to enhance student engagement and boost academic performance.
• Use data to assess student progress and adjust instructional plans accordingly.

Required Skills and Experience:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Experience in working with students in educational or mentorship roles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to provide targeted academic support.
• A dedication to advancing student development and educational equity.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in tutoring or mentoring in an academic setting.
• Understanding of strategies for supporting students with diverse learning needs and promoting social-emotional growth.
• Experience utilizing data to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions.
