Role and Responsibilities:

The Assistant Teacher supports classroom instruction and daily care routines to ensure a positive, structured, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children. You will collaborate closely with lead teachers to implement curriculum, supervise activities, and maintain a safe and engaging classroom experience.

Assist in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and learning activities that support early childhood development
Support lead teachers in delivering engaging, hands-on educational experiences
Prepare and organize classroom materials, learning tools, and activity stations
Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, meals, and nap times to ensure safety and well-being
Observe and monitor children’s behavior, progress, and developmental milestones
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
Encourage positive behavior and support social-emotional development
Communicate effectively with teachers and staff to ensure consistent classroom operations

Required Skills and Experience:

High School Diploma required
Prior experience in a licensed childcare, preschool, or early learning environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based classroom setting
Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach toward young children
Ability to ensure child safety and follow structured classroom routines
Strong attention to detail and classroom organization skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in early childhood education or related caregiving roles
Background in customer service, healthcare, or child-focused environments
Understanding of early childhood development principles
Enthusiasm for professional growth in education and childcare

Competitive hourly pay range: USD $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
