Childcare Assistant Teacher

As an Childcare Assistant Teacher, you will contribute to building a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment while assisting lead educators in delivering meaningful learning experiences that encourage lifelong learning in young children.

Role and Responsibilities:

The Childcare Assistant Teacher supports classroom instruction and daily routines to ensure a structured, positive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. You will collaborate with lead teachers to deliver lesson plans, facilitate classroom activities, and maintain a safe and engaging space for children.

• Assist in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and early childhood education activities
• Support lead teachers in conducting interactive, hands-on learning experiences
• Prepare, organize, and maintain classroom materials, learning resources, and activity stations
• Supervise children during indoor play, outdoor activities, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being
• Observe, record, and track children’s behavior, developmental progress, and learning milestones
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment at all times
• Encourage positive behavior and support children’s social and emotional development
• Communicate effectively with lead teachers and staff to ensure smooth and consistent classroom operations

Required Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma required
• Prior experience working in a licensed childcare, preschool, or early learning environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based classroom setting
• Patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach toward young children
• Ability to maintain child safety and follow structured classroom routines
• Strong attention to detail and classroom organization skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in early childhood education or childcare support roles
• Background in customer service, healthcare, or child-focused environments
• Understanding of early childhood development principles
• Interest in professional growth within education and childcare

• Competitive hourly pay range: USD $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
