Role and Responsibilities:

As an Academic Tutor and Mentor, you will work closely with students to enhance their academic skills and foster positive personal growth. You will actively engage in classroom support, one-on-one tutoring, and mentorship initiatives that drive measurable student outcomes.

Provide individualized academic tutoring in subjects such as reading, math, and science.
Model positive behavior and social-emotional skills for students.
Build strong, trusting relationships with students to support their academic and personal development.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to identify student needs and monitor progress.
Develop and implement strategies to improve student engagement and achievement.
Track and report on student progress using assessment tools and data collection methods.

Required Skills and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience working with youth in educational or mentorship settings.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students effectively.
Ability to plan, organize, and deliver targeted instructional support.
Commitment to supporting student growth and promoting equity in education.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience tutoring or mentoring in an academic setting.
Knowledge of strategies to support diverse learning needs and social-emotional development.
Familiarity with data-driven approaches to track student progress.
