Preschool Lead Teacher

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Preschool Lead Teacher, you will manage the daily operations of your classroom while cultivating a safe, welcoming, and enriching space for young learners. You'll design and deliver creative lesson plans that spark imagination, build critical thinking skills, and support early academic growth. Your responsibilities extend to guiding children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development, establishing consistent routines and positive behavior management, and mentoring assistant teaching staff. You'll also track each child's developmental milestones, maintain accurate classroom records, ensure full compliance with state childcare regulations, collaborate with fellow educators, and forge strong partnerships with families to support every child's learning journey.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience leading a preschool or early childhood education classroom.
• Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices.
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans and hands-on learning activities.
• Excellent classroom management, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families.
• Knowledge of childcare licensing requirements and classroom safety standards.
• Passion for fostering children's academic, emotional, and social development.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience mentoring assistant teachers or leading classroom teams.
• Familiarity with developmental assessments and preschool curriculum planning.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and educational excellence.
