Davenport Community School District is currently hiring substitute teachers for the 2025-26 school year

To substitute teach in the State of Iowa you must hold a current Iowa Teaching License, Iowa Substitute Teaching License, or Iowa Substitute Authorization License.

2025-26 Pay Rates:

• Base Rate - $132/full day, $66/half day
• Long Term Rate (20 or more consecutive days for same classroom) $177/full day, $88.50/half day
• Retired Teacher rate - $177/full day, $88.50/half day
