Daycare Preschool Teacher

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Daycare Preschool Teacher at Primrose Schools, you will guide children aged 3–4 in exploring, discovering, and understanding the world around them. You will plan and implement engaging activities that support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development while working closely with leadership and parents to foster a well-rounded educational experience.

• Supervise and manage daily classroom activities for preschool-aged children.
• Implement the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum and daily lesson plans.
• Observe, assess, and document each child’s developmental progress.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Provide consistent behavioral guidance and positive reinforcement.
• Communicate regularly with parents and participate in conferences.
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and school events as required.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must meet local child care licensing requirements.
• Previous experience in early childhood education or assistant teaching preferred.
• Knowledge of child development, particularly for preschool-aged children.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. to support child care activities.
• Strong communication, observation, and classroom management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Experience implementing structured preschool curricula.
• Familiarity with age-appropriate social, emotional, and creative development practices.
• Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
