Role and Responsibilities:

In this role, you will support students of varying ages and proficiency levels as they develop and strengthen their French language skills. You will deliver personalized instruction designed to make French learning engaging, practical, and effective while adapting lessons to meet individual learning goals.

• Deliver one-on-one French tutoring sessions through in-person or virtual formats.
• Design customized lesson plans and learning materials aligned with each student’s proficiency level and learning preferences.
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies based on performance and objectives.
• Create a positive and encouraging learning environment that builds confidence in speaking, reading, and writing French.
• Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their families regarding progress and improvement areas.
• Promote language immersion by incorporating real-life applications and cultural elements into lessons.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Advanced fluency in French with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Experience teaching or tutoring French in either formal or informal educational settings.
• In-depth understanding of French grammar rules, pronunciation, and cultural context.
• Ability to modify teaching approaches to suit different learning styles and proficiency levels.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for teaching.
• Reliable internet access to support online tutoring sessions when applicable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree or certification in French, linguistics, education, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience supporting learners preparing for French language proficiency exams such as DELF or DALF.
• Background teaching children or adults in one-on-one or group learning environments.
• Comfort using online tutoring platforms and digital teaching resources.
