ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Support engaging lessons provided by APEX, Virtual High School (VHS), Cape Cod Community College and Dennis-Yarmouth Classroom teachers.
• Utilize instructional methods and material aligned with curriculum goals
• Evaluate and assess students using a variety of methods
• Create a positive, inviting and safe learning environment
• Develop, model and practice classroom procedures
• Work collaboratively with department chair and school administration to proactively implement district/school policies and rules governing student life, conduct, behavior and procedures
• Communicate high expectations to all learners
• Work actively to establish and maintain communication with counselors and teachers concerning both academic and behavior progress
• Work actively to establish and maintain communication with parents/guardians concerning both academic and behavior progress
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all earners
• Strive to maintain and improve professional competence
• Actively participate in department/staff meetings and school functions

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in math or related field
• Valid Massachusetts teaching license
• Valid Massachusetts teaching license in Math, English Language Arts, Science or Social Studies preferred
• Massachusetts certification 8-12 or 9-12
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required
• Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply
