After School Nurse

**This position would work Fridays from 3pm-6pm. The person hired may choose to be on-call for our other after school shifts (Monday through Thursday, 3pm-6pm) but that is not required**

Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School seeks a nurse to staff our after school program and:

- Care for sick and injured students and faculty, dismiss ill or injured students as appropriate

- Work to create and maintain an educational environment that is safe for each student, considering their medical diagnosis

- Administer prescribed medications and treatments

- Document care provided

- Collaborate with parents and school staff regarding student health issues as they arise. This may include issues related to illness, injury, health promotion, accident or illness prevention, or other issues relevant to the scope of nursing practice in a school

- Perform other duties as assigned, as appropriate for RN licensure

  - RN preferred, LPN considered. Must have valid license in the state of Massachusetts
  
  - Possess current certification in BLS CPR for Healthcare Providers
  
  - Pediatric nursing experience preferred
  
  - Experience with SNAP electronic health record documentation preferred
  
  - Must be punctual and dependable
• At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required
