Role and Responsibilities:

As an Elementary Science Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate science instruction that aligns with curriculum standards and supports student learning outcomes. You will create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, collaboration, and hands-on learning.

• Plan and deliver standards-based elementary science lessons using clear learning objectives and measurable outcomes
• Implement instructional strategies that promote inquiry, experimentation, and problem-solving skills
• Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and adjust instruction accordingly
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities
• Collaborate with grade-level and subject-area teams to align instruction and share best practices
• Communicate effectively with families and school staff regarding student progress and classroom activities
• Follow school policies, academic guidelines, and professional expectations

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related field
• Valid teaching certification or license as required for elementary education
• Experience teaching science at the elementary level or in a classroom setting
• Strong knowledge of elementary science content and instructional practices
• Ability to plan, organize, and deliver engaging lessons
• Effective classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to inclusive, student-centered instruction
• Ability to use educational technology and digital tools to support learning

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a charter school or similar educational environment
• Experience using data to inform instruction and improve student outcomes
• Professional development or training in science education or STEM instruction
