Role and Responsibilities:

In the Early Childhood Education Assistant role, you will collaborate closely with lead educators to deliver structured, developmentally appropriate, and engaging classroom instruction. You will contribute to maintaining a positive, organized, and supportive learning environment while actively assisting with daily teaching activities and student development.

Assist lead teachers in designing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities
Encourage positive behavior and active participation to strengthen classroom engagement and management
Supervise children during instructional time, meals, outdoor play, and transition periods to ensure safety and structure
Prepare, organize, and maintain classroom materials, learning resources, and instructional tools
Observe, document, and communicate student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones
Maintain a clean, safe, structured, and well-organized classroom environment consistently
Foster an inclusive, caring, and emotionally supportive environment for all children

Required Skills and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in early childhood education preferred
Experience working with young children in preschool, daycare, or classroom environments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Ability to follow lesson plans and support effective instructional delivery
Basic understanding of early childhood development principles
Patient, empathetic, and child-focused approach to teaching and care
Strong commitment to maintaining safety, supervision, and classroom standards at all times

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
Child Development Associate (CDA) certification or early childhood teaching credential
Previous experience in preschool, childcare, or elementary education settings
Familiarity with early learning frameworks and classroom behavior management strategies
