Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for effective planning and assessment of curriculum and instruction;
• Meets and instructs assigned students in the locations and at the time designated;
• Attends staff meetings as required;
• Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with others;
• Responsible to support students with disabilities in a general education setting.
• Performance of other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university;
• Sheltered English Immersion Endorsement for core content teachers
• Ability to work with diverse population;
• Knowledge of MA Curriculum frameworks, curriculum, instruction, and assessment;
• Knowledge of differentiated instruction and response to intervention helpful
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Qualifications Preferred:

• Bilingual Spanish
• Dual certification in ESL and/or Moderate Disabilities

Terms:

All teachers are members of the Chelsea Teachers Union (CTU). The length of the school day is 6.5 hours, but subject to longer hours for schools with extended day. The number of school days are 1854 days. See CPS website for salary information.
