Lincoln Public Schools is seeking full-time Teacher Assistants to join their team.
Function: Provide those supportive services necessary for assisting the classroom teacher in his/her task of providing quality instruction to students.
Reports to: Teachers(s), Principal to whom he/she is assigned and Director of Student Services
Responsibilities: Perform those tasks assigned by the classroom teacher or the building Principal. Work with small groups of students, and/or individual student as assigned reinforcing teacher planned and directed activities. Perform those aide services necessary to help the teacher in his/her instructional lessons. Examples of aide services include, but may not be limited to: physically assisting a student on/off of the toilet and or with personal hygiene; transfer student into and out of wheelchair, electric wheelchair, stroller or any other transfer as needed; set-up and monitor student(s) while eating breakfast and or lunch; assist student as needed during adaptive physical education class. Perform related duties as assigned.
