Assistant Preschool Teacher

As an Assistant Preschool Teacher supporting 2–3-year-old children, you will contribute to creating a nurturing, engaging learning environment that supports early childhood development. This role plays an important part in advancing the organization’s mission to provide high-quality education through supportive teaching practices and innovative learning approaches.

Role and Responsibilities:

You will support the delivery of age-appropriate curriculum and help create a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment. In this role, you will work collaboratively with lead teachers to promote children’s cognitive, social, and emotional development while ensuring their well-being.

• Assist in leading engaging and innovative learning activities that support early childhood development
• Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of children at all times
• Support the implementation of age-appropriate curriculum and classroom plans
• Monitor and help document children’s progress and developmental milestones
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and harmonious classroom environment
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to maintain a welcoming learning space
• Encourage social interaction, emotional growth, and creativity among students

Required Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work effectively with young children in a structured environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and smartphone
• Meet specific requirements set by minimum state standards and/or accreditation
• Genuine interest and passion for working with children

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in early childhood development or CDA certification (preferred but not required)
• 6 months of experience working in a certified child development center (1 year preferred)
• Prior experience working with the assigned age group
• Experience in related fields such as customer service, healthcare, or retail

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive hourly pay ranging from USD $17.00 to USD $18.00 based on a 40-hour work week
