The Mount Greylock Regional School District is seeking a part-time teacher to provide direct home tutoring services to a first grade student in Williamstown.
Position Details:
Hours: Up to 5–10 hours per week
Schedule: After-school hours (specific schedule to be arranged with family)
Location: Student’s home in Williamstown, MA
Responsibilities include:
Providing one-on-one tutoring and academic support aligned with 1st grade curriculum.
Assisting the student in strengthening skills in core subjects, including reading, writing, and mathematics.
Supporting the student’s study habits, organizational skills, and overall confidence in learning.
Maintaining communication with parents/guardians and school staff, as appropriate, to monitor progress.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred; background in elementary education strongly desired.
Experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly in academic support or tutoring roles.
Ability to engage students in a positive, encouraging, and structured manner.
Flexibility, reliability, and strong communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a home-based environment.
Compensation:
The salary range for Educator positions with Mt. Greylock RSD are commensurate with education and related experience with annual salaries ranging from $50,474 to $110, 081 (for 2025-2026).
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
An offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment screening process to include National fingerprint-based Criminal Background Check (NCBC), Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and Sexual Offender Record Information (SORI).
All MUST be completed PRIOR to the start of employment.
