Assignment Details

• Position: Special Education Paraprofessional
• Location: New Jersey
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Start Date: ASAP
• Age Group: Elementary and Middle School
• Total Hours Per Week: 35 hours per week
• Duration of Contract: New School Year 2025-26

Responsibilities

• Adapt and modify materials or activities as needed to meet the diverse needs of students
• Reinforce instruction and provide assistance to students in completing assignments
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and interactions
• Assist with the implementation of assistive technology and other specialized equipment as necessary

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred, Should have 48+ college units
• Previous experience working with students with special needs is desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Patience, flexibility, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
• Ability to follow directions and carry out tasks effectively
