• Responsibilities:
  
  ● Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including intellectual, academic, social-emotional, and
  
  behavioral assessments, to determine eligibility for special education services.
  
  ● Provide individual and group counseling to address social-emotional, behavioral, and communication
  
  challenges.
  
  ● Collaborate with special education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers (e.g.,
  
  speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists), and administrators to develop and implement
  
  individualized education programs (IEPs), therapeutic intervention plans, and behavior intervention plans.
  
  ● Facilitate social skills groups and other therapeutic interventions.
  
  ● Administer and interpret a variety of standardized and informal assessment tools.
  
  ● Write clear, concise, and comprehensive psychological reports that include diagnostic impressions and
  
  recommendations for intervention.
  
  ● Participate in IEP team meetings to present evaluation findings and contribute to the development of
  
  individualized education programs.
  
  ● Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop positive behavior support plans (PBSPs).
  
  ● Provide consultation and support to school staff on best practices for working with students with autism.
  
  ● Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and therapeutic strategies.
  
  ● Ensure compliance with all ethical and legal guidelines related to assessment and special education
  
  eligibility.
  
  ● Provide consultation to district programs supporting structure and design as it pertains to the enrolled
  
  students.
  
  Qualifications:
  
  ● Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  
  ● Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
  
  ● Experience in administering and interpreting psychological assessments.
  
  ● Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse
  
  stakeholders.
  
  ● Knowledge of special education laws and regulations (e.g., IDEA) preferred.
  
  ● Passionate and empathetic approach to working with students and families.
  
  Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, in accordance with the Gloucester
  
  Public Schools salary schedule. Salary range of $58,398 - $104,268. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and retirement options.
