Early Childhood Teacher

Position Overview:

The Early Childhood Teacher is responsible for providing a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. This role supports students’ academic, social, emotional, and physical growth while fostering a positive classroom culture that encourages curiosity and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Assess and monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student development.
• Utilize instructional strategies that support diverse learning needs.
• Maintain classroom management and follow district policies and procedures.
• Participate in professional development and staff meetings as required.

Position Requirements

Education and Training:

An earned bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Licenses and Certifications:

Must possess or be able to acquire, by the time of appointment, a valid teaching license issued by the Nevada Department of Education. Candidates must be certified in the relevant subject area. Applicants for certificated licensed positions must meet the minimum qualifications as listed on the official vacancy announcement.

Work Environment:

This position requires working in a classroom setting with young children, including standing, moving, and engaging actively throughout the school day.
