Role and Responsibilities:

As a 4K Teacher at Primrose Schools, you will play an essential role in shaping the educational experience of young children. You will lead the daily classroom activities for a group of 4-year-old students, guiding their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in line with the Primrose Balanced Learning approach.

• Lead and Supervise: Take responsibility for the daily supervision and education of a group of 4-year-old children. Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Curriculum Implementation: Implement Primrose’s Balanced Learning curriculum to support children's learning and development across a variety of domains.
• Create a Stimulating Environment: Maintain an engaging, organized, and safe classroom that encourages exploration, creativity, and independent thinking.
• Parent and Family Communication: Build strong relationships with parents, providing them with regular updates on their child’s progress through parent-teacher conferences and ongoing communication.
• Assess and Evaluate: Monitor and assess the developmental progress of children, tailoring instruction to meet individual needs.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional training and development to continue growing as an educator and to enhance your teaching skills.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Education Requirements: A minimum of a four-year degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required.
• Teaching Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience teaching young children in a preschool or early childhood setting is preferred.
• Child Care Regulatory Requirements: Must meet the basic requirements of local, state, or national child care regulatory agencies.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and the school leadership team.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds in connection with the facilitation of classroom programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: Early Childhood Education certification or a state teaching certification is a plus.
• Classroom Experience: Previous experience teaching children in the 4K or Pre-Kindergarten age group is strongly preferred.
• Passion for Education: A deep passion for working with young children and making a lasting impact on their development.
• Team Player: Ability to work effectively with co-teachers, support staff, and leadership to create a collaborative learning environment.

• Competitive compensation: Hourly rate of $16.00 - $20.00, depending on experience.
