Role and Responsibilities:

In this role, you will provide personalized reading instruction that strengthens literacy skills and comprehension. You will design and deliver lessons that cater to each student's unique learning needs.

Plan and conduct reading lessons tailored to individual student goals and skill levels.
Guide students in comprehension strategies, including summarizing, predicting outcomes, and identifying main ideas.
Support vocabulary growth, phonics development, and reading fluency improvement.
Track student progress and provide actionable feedback for continued growth.
Adapt teaching techniques to meet diverse learning styles and address reading challenges.
Communicate with students and families to establish objectives and monitor learning progress.
Create a positive and encouraging learning environment that fosters curiosity and confidence.

Required Skills and Experience:

Strong understanding of literacy development and reading instruction methods.
Experience teaching or tutoring reading across multiple grade levels or skill ranges.
Ability to explain reading strategies clearly and effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to guide and motivate learners.
Organizational skills for lesson planning and monitoring student progress.

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in English, Literacy Studies, or a related field.
Experience assisting students with reading difficulties or learning differences.
Certifications in literacy or language arts tutoring or teaching.
