Early Learning Lead Teacher

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Early Learning Lead Teacher, you will support children’s growth while guiding classroom teams and maintaining a caring, inclusive learning space. You will work closely with families, colleagues, and community partners to ensure every child receives strong developmental and emotional support.

• Provide coaching to classroom staff by demonstrating effective instructional techniques and offering supportive feedback.
• Implement KinderCare’s curriculum and modify learning activities to support individual child needs.
• Create and maintain a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Partner with families to ensure a high-quality education and care experience.
• Assist in meeting center goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and community involvement.
• Build positive relationships with families, coworkers, licensing agencies, community organizations, and corporate teams.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong customer service abilities with excellent organization and multitasking skills.
• Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or qualifications that meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
• Approved state trainer status (preferred).
• 2–3 years of experience in early childhood education (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meets state-required qualifications or willing to complete necessary steps.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to complete required training.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and take part in both indoor and outdoor activities.
• Physically able to participate in active play and interact with children on their level.
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills for working with children and families.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly pay range: $19.38 – $24.84.
• Minnesota employees receive an additional $3.00 per hour classroom premium through the Minnesota Great Start Grant Compensation Support Program.
