Role and Responsibilities:

The Lead Teacher at Primrose Schools guides the classroom experience, ensuring children receive a high-quality, engaging, and developmentally appropriate education. You will plan and implement lesson plans, foster social-emotional growth, and maintain a safe, organized, and inspiring learning environment. You will collaborate with families and staff to support each child’s individual growth while modeling excellence in early childhood education.

Create a nurturing, stimulating, and well-organized classroom environment.
Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using the Balanced Learning curriculum.
Assess and track children’s developmental progress, providing feedback to families.
Maintain classroom safety, cleanliness, and compliance with all regulatory standards.
Collaborate with co-teachers, support staff, and leadership to enhance learning experiences.
Participate in professional development and mentor assistant teachers when needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

Must meet local child care regulatory requirements.
Previous teaching experience in an early childhood education setting preferred.
Knowledge of children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and creative development.
Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and engage physically with children as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
Certification or coursework in child development, early education, or related areas.
Experience in curriculum planning, assessment, and parent-teacher communications.
Demonstrated ability to inspire and mentor co-teachers or teaching assistants.
Passion for fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence in children.
