Role and Responsibilities:

As a Specialized PreK Assistant Teacher, you will assist lead teachers in delivering engaging educational experiences that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development. You will support classroom management, provide individualized attention to children, and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Assist in planning and implementing daily educational activities aligned with curriculum goals.
Support individual learning needs and developmental progress of children.
Monitor classroom behavior and implement positive guidance strategies.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
Communicate effectively with lead teachers, parents, and staff regarding student progress and classroom updates.
Model professional and nurturing behavior to support children’s social and emotional development.
Assist in documentation and assessment of children’s growth and learning milestones.

Required Skills and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent; early childhood education coursework or certifications preferred.
Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting.
Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate learning activities.
Ability to implement classroom routines and manage behavior effectively.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Basic proficiency in technology and digital documentation tools for classroom reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
Experience with specialized programs or children with diverse learning needs.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Familiarity with early learning assessment tools and individualized education plans.
