Carlisle Public Schools is seeking a Middle School Tier II Tutor to work collaboratively with our Middle School staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• College Degree
• Prior experience working with students that need academic support
REPORTS TO: Middle School Principal
JOB GOAL: To work closely with students that need extra academic support in reading and/or math to provide them with support.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction and supervision of licensed educators who design instruction:
1. Provide academic support and direct instruction to students in small group (may include preview, reinforcement, review, individualized curriculum) to meet identified goals/objectives.
2. Work with the Middle School Principal and other staff to identify and plan small group interventions.
3. Communicate with parents, if instructed by the supervising teacher, in the manner determined by the Carlisle Public Schools.
4. Provide students with Tier II supports, while fostering and facilitating increasing independence.
5. Maintain the high level of confidentiality and professionalism expected of the teaching staff.
6. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Middle School Principal.
