Child Development Support Educator

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Child Development Support Educator, you will work in close partnership with lead educators to deliver structured, developmentally appropriate, and engaging classroom experiences. You will help maintain an organized, positive, and nurturing learning environment while supporting daily instruction and student development activities.

• Assist lead teachers in developing and delivering age-appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities
• Promote positive behavior and encourage active participation to enhance classroom engagement and management
• Supervise children during lessons, meals, outdoor play, and transition periods to ensure safety and structure
• Prepare, organize, and maintain instructional materials and classroom learning resources
• Observe, document, and communicate student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones
• Maintain a clean, safe, structured, and well-organized classroom environment consistently
• Foster an inclusive, caring, and emotionally supportive environment for all learners

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in early childhood education preferred
• Experience working with young children in preschool, daycare, or classroom settings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
• Ability to follow instructional plans and support effective classroom teaching
• Basic understanding of early childhood development principles
• Patient, empathetic, and child-focused mindset toward education and care
• Commitment to maintaining safety, supervision, and classroom standards at all times

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or early childhood teaching certification
• Previous experience in preschool, childcare, or elementary education environments
• Familiarity with early learning frameworks and classroom behavior management techniques
