Role and Responsibilities:

As an Italian Tutor at Superprof, you will be responsible for teaching Italian language lessons to students, customizing each lesson to meet the individual needs of your students. Your role is critical in helping students improve their fluency, expand their vocabulary, and deepen their understanding of Italian grammar and culture.

• Provide one-on-one or group Italian lessons tailored to the student’s proficiency level and learning goals.
• Design lesson plans that incorporate Italian grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversational skills.
• Guide students through structured lessons while encouraging a natural and immersive learning process.
• Help students prepare for language exams, school assignments, or practical conversational skills for travel and work.
• Provide regular feedback to students, track their progress, and adjust lessons to ensure steady improvement.
• Foster a positive and motivating learning environment where students feel comfortable practicing their Italian language skills.
• Promote an understanding of Italian culture, history, and traditions to give students a well-rounded language education.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in both written and spoken Italian, with an in-depth understanding of grammar, syntax, and vocabulary.
• Previous experience teaching Italian, whether in a formal or informal setting (e.g., tutoring, language exchange programs, etc.).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible way.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit the individual learning styles and needs of students.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students reach their language learning goals.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken) to communicate with non-Italian-speaking students.
• Access to reliable internet and a video conferencing platform for online lessons.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Italian Language, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
• Experience teaching Italian as a second language or preparing students for language proficiency exams.
• Familiarity with Italian literature, culture, and regional dialects, providing students with an enriched language learning experience.
• Certifications in language teaching (e.g., CELTA, TEFL) or a specific Italian language qualification.
