Pre-K Lead Teacher

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Pre-K Lead Teacher, you will take charge of a preschool classroom, delivering dynamic, standards-aligned learning experiences that set children on the path to kindergarten success. Your role involves crafting and executing developmentally appropriate lesson plans, tracking student growth, and nurturing each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. You'll cultivate an inclusive atmosphere where every learner feels valued and capable. On a daily basis, you'll oversee classroom operations, guide and support assistant teachers, implement our Pre-K curriculum, maintain accurate developmental portfolios, and uphold all licensing and educational regulations. You'll also partner closely with families, foster open communication, and create a vibrant, positive environment that sparks curiosity, creativity, and self-assurance in every child.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, or a related field.
• Experience leading a preschool or Pre-K classroom.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood development and kindergarten readiness standards.
• Ability to develop and implement engaging lesson plans and classroom activities.
• Excellent classroom management, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with children, families, and colleagues.
• Knowledge of childcare licensing regulations, educational standards, and student assessment practices.
• Passion for supporting children's academic, social, and emotional growth.

Preferred Qualifications:

• State teaching certification or Pre-K teaching credential where applicable.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience with curriculum planning, developmental assessments, and individualized learning strategies.
• Previous mentoring or supervisory experience in an early childhood education setting.
• Familiarity with classroom technology and educational assessment tools.
