Before and After school Teacher

Role and Responsibilities:

In this role, you will support the planning and delivery of engaging before-school and after-school programs that promote learning, creativity, and social development. You will supervise children in a safe environment while encouraging positive behavior, collaboration, and emotional growth.

• Supervise and engage school-age children in structured before and after school activities.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom or program environment.
• Support children with homework assistance and learning enrichment activities.
• Promote positive behavior management strategies and conflict resolution.
• Communicate effectively with children, families, and team members.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines, policies, and childcare standards.
• Monitor and document student progress, behavior, and participation when required.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience working with children in a childcare, school, or educational setting.
• Strong understanding of child development and school-age learning needs.
• Ability to manage group activities and maintain a safe environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to support homework assistance and basic academic guidance.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and organizational policies.
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in before and after school programs or youth development settings.
• Training or coursework in early childhood education or related fields.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques.
