Role and Responsibilities:

As an Afterschool Teacher, you will support children’s development by creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment during afterschool hours. You will lead activities, monitor student well-being, and foster a positive atmosphere that encourages learning and collaboration.

Lead innovative and age-appropriate learning activities that promote children’s growth and development
Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times
Monitor and observe children’s progress and developmental milestones
Create a positive, inclusive, and harmonious classroom environment
Collaborate with fellow educators to maintain a supportive and engaging learning space
Use creativity and initiative to make afterschool programs fun and educational

Required Skills and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop or tablet
Patience, a nurturing attitude, and a genuine interest in supporting children’s well-being
Interest in working with children, regardless of prior professional background

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Early Childhood Education in a certified child development center
CDA (Child Development Associate) or ECT (Early Childhood Teacher) certification
Prior experience working with toddler and preschool-aged children
Backgrounds in customer service, healthcare, retail, or related fields

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly pay ranging from $20.00 to $24.00, based on education and experience
