Role and Responsibilities:
You will provide comprehensive psychological services to support students, families, and school staff. This role emphasizes assessment, intervention, and consultation to foster student development and facilitate positive learning environments.
- Conduct psychological evaluations, assessments, and testing to identify student needs, strengths, and learning profiles.
- Develop and implement individualized interventions and behavior support plans.
- Provide counseling and therapy services to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop strategies that enhance student learning and well-being.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) and CSE (Committee on Special Education) meetings to provide expert recommendations.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on data-driven outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address school-wide mental health and behavioral challenges.
- Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies affecting students or staff.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and progress notes in compliance with district policies and confidentiality standards.
- Attend professional development sessions to maintain current knowledge of educational psychology and best practices.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Doctoral or Master’s degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience conducting psychological assessments and providing counseling in school settings.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, procedures, and IEP development.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software for assessment and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with crisis intervention and behavioral support programs.
- Knowledge of evidence-based interventions for academic, social, and emotional challenges.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in diverse educational environments.
