Role and Responsibilities:

As a Classroom Lead Teacher, you will play an essential role in supporting children’s development while guiding classroom staff and cultivating a warm, secure learning environment. You will collaborate with families, teammates, and community partners to help every child succeed.

• Coach and mentor classroom staff by modeling effective teaching strategies and providing constructive feedback.
• Implement KinderCare’s curriculum and adapt instruction to meet each child’s individual learning needs.
• Maintain a nurturing, safe, and engaging classroom space.
• Work with families to ensure exceptional educational and care experiences.
• Support center goals, including enrollment, accreditation standards, and community initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with families, coworkers, licensing partners, community organizations, and corporate teams.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks.
• Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or qualifications aligned with NAEYC candidacy standards.
• Approved state trainer status (preferred).
• 2–3 years of prior early childhood education experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meets state qualification requirements or willing to complete them.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to complete required courses.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
• Physically able to engage with children at their level and take part in active play.
• Proficient verbal and written English communication to interact effectively with children and families.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly pay range: $19.38 – $24.84.
• Minnesota locations receive an additional $3.00 per hour classroom premium through the Minnesota Great Start Grant Compensation Support Program.
