Job Description: Substitute paraprofessionals are employed on a day-to-day basis and are at-will employees of the District. The District may remove a substitute paraprofessionals name from its list of eligible substitutes at any time without prior notice. Moreover, substitute ipararofessionals may be removed from an assignment at any time if they are not performing to the District's satisfaction.Primary Responsibilities:

• Report to the principal upon arrival fifteen minutes before the official school opening. Review with the principal, team leader, or department chairperson all plans and schedules to be followed during the day.
• Assists the supervision and instruction of students in all aspects of the daily program as directed.
• Implements strategies for individual students as directed by teacher, speech and language pathologists, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, vision, hearing, assistive technology facilities, etc.
• Assist students with self-help (i.e. feeding, life skills, personal hygiene activities, lifting/transferring) and other health related services as they apply to a particular program. Assists with the preparation and/or adaption of instructional materials.
• Assists the student in meeting IEP goals and objectives along with managing and maintaining the instructional environment.
• Assists with maintaining accurate records for the monitoring of students' progress.
• Collects and charts data, administers formal and informal assessment instruments.
• Works with individuals or small groups at the teacher's request in review, reinforcement, enrichment, and/or expansion of skills and concepts previously presented. Escort student(s) as needed.
• Assists with technology, as needed.

Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent, and basic technology skills.
