Role and Responsibilities:

As an Arithmetic Instructor, you will offer personalized math instruction to help students strengthen their foundational skills while encouraging critical thinking. You will track student progress, adapt teaching strategies, and maintain a positive, interactive learning atmosphere.

Create and deliver arithmetic lessons tailored to students' diverse age groups and skill levels
Assess student comprehension and adjust teaching methods to meet individual learning preferences
Clarify mathematical concepts using relatable, real-world examples
Document student progress and maintain thorough lesson records
Prepare students for academic tests, quizzes, and other assessments
Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages problem-solving
Incorporate educational tools and resources to enhance lesson engagement

Required Skills and Experience:

Strong grasp of arithmetic, including operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and working with fractions and decimals
Experience in teaching or tutoring mathematics, with a focus on arithmetic
Ability to communicate mathematical concepts clearly and adjust methods for different learning styles
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational skills for lesson planning and tracking student development

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related discipline
Experience with virtual teaching platforms or online tutoring environments
Familiarity with tools and resources designed to aid in teaching arithmetic
