Role and Responsibilities:

As an Early Childhood Teaching Assistant, you will help create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom for young learners. You will work alongside lead teachers and center staff to deliver KinderCare’s curriculum, support individual learning goals, and build meaningful relationships with families. This role allows you to spark curiosity, encourage confidence, and inspire a lifelong love for learning in every child.

• Help lead teachers implement KinderCare’s developmentally appropriate curriculum centered on exploration, creativity, and social-emotional development.
• Supervise and engage with children to support their safety and well-being while adhering to licensing and health guidelines.
• Develop warm, respectful relationships with children and communicate professionally with families and co-workers.
• Promote hands-on learning activities that foster problem-solving, skill-building, and exploration.
• Work with teachers and center leadership to support smooth classroom routines and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Assist with preparing materials, organizing learning spaces, and keeping the classroom clean, safe, and inviting.
• Take part in training and professional development to support continued learning and career growth.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meets state requirements for early childhood teaching roles or is willing to complete necessary qualifications.
• Ability to work effectively with a team and follow direction from lead teachers and center management.
• Genuine passion for supporting young children and nurturing their growth.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Physically able to engage with children, lift up to 40 pounds, and participate in active indoor and outdoor play.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• CDA or early childhood education coursework preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or interest in earning certification with employer support.
• Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
