Job Goal: To provide behavioral and learning support, instruction and monitoring for children and youth with varied learning and behavioral needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the instructional and personal care needs of students with complex medical and educational profiles, in alignment with their IEPs.
- Modify and adapt materials under the direction of the special education teacher to support access to the curriculum.
- Reinforce learning and support engagement with individual students or small groups, both in the classroom and during non-academic activities.
- Assist with daily living skills such as positioning, feeding (excluding medical feeding methods), dressing, toileting, hygiene, and mobility.
- Implement behavior support plans consistently, using positive reinforcement, accurate prompting, and data collection.
- Monitor for signs of medical or behavioral distress and promptly alert appropriate staff.
- Safely lift, transfer, and position students using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of student data, behaviors, and progress toward IEP goals.
- Communicate regularly with team members and families through daily logs and meetings.
- Apply instructional strategies including ABA methods, as trained and directed.
- Attend required trainings and professional development sessions.
- Supervise and support students during school transportation, as assigned.

Salary:$22 to $26 Per Hour
